The Granbys have a lot to offer including, yes, music.  For the non-believers, Granby Memorial High School seniors Rob Dei Dolori and Joel Helander decided to put together a compilation that will both celebrate and finance future artistic endeavors in town.

What started out as a senior project for the National Honor Society became a tradition in the making.

"I know  a lot of good bands that have come through the high school that not a lot of people have had much exposure to," Dei Dolori said.

The duo said they have already discussed recording updated versions as the years progress.

Granby Sings For The Arts is a surprising collection that demonstrates an impressive range of musical talent that grew out of our small town's busy high school.

The CD features 11 tracks from the same number of artists, and each is truly unique.  The proceeds from the compilation, which cost $10, will go directly to the Granby Education Foundation Endowment For The Arts.

Dei Dolori and Helander have made the collection available to those of us outside the limits of the memorial school complex by leaving copies at Granby Village Health, The Granby Pharmacy, and Beman Hardware in Granby center.

Have a listen, and then hurry to find your copy.  For more information about Granby Sings For The Arts email robbiedei@yahoo.com.
