A Little Travelin' Music, East Granby Basketball, Networking Group
Here are five things going on in the area today.
Good morning, Granbys! Today is Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday, party and party and party, yeah! Party and party and party, YEAH! Feb. 3, 2012; there are 332 days left in the year.
I’m away for the next few days, so I’m giving you a list of my 5 favorite travelin’ tunes:
5. Vacation (Original Artist: The Go-Go’s) - Ah, America’s sweethearts. (Watches VH1’s Behind the Music on The Go Gos). Um, wow. America’s sweethearts sure did, to put it mildly, know how to party.
4. Roam (The B-52s) - Not a huge fan of the band, but the harmonizing on this song is amazing.
3. Holiday in Spain (Counting Crows) - My favorite band just can’t make a happy song. Got no place to go, but there’s a girl waiting for me in Mexico.
2. Leaving on a Jet Plane (John Denver) - Sad irony in this song for Denver, who died in a plane crash.
1. I’ve Been Everywhere (Johnny Cash) - I think that every list of music should have a Johnny Cash song as No. 1.
